The Design Process

 The design process starts by listening to your needs during our complimentary 1 hr initial meeting. There we will discuss your goals and why you would like design assistance and how we can best serve you. We break down the design process into manageable steps that are clear and easy to follow throughout the process.

Defining the Program
Once we have a signed letter of agreement with you, we document your existing space by measuring and photographing the space we will be working on. We discuss a project timeline for our deliverables.

Schematic Design
Taking into consideration the budget, the architectural character of the space and the project goals you outlined we come up with the project design concept. That design concept is communicated to you through a variety of ways. We use floor plans, furniture plans, perspectives and image pictures along with finish swatches and furniture & lighting cut sheets.

Design Development
Once the schematic design has been reviewed and approved, the design development phase allows us further develop your custom designs through the use of lighting layouts, elevations and budget worksheets. Any re-selections and all final design decisions are made here.

Final Drawings & Specs
Once the design development package has been reviewed and approved, we proceed to the final design documents. In this phase we produce any additional plans for obtaining a building permit and specifications to order furniture & lighting. This set of information will allow you to bid your project with the confidence that you will get a true 'apple to apple' comparison. Having a clear set of information often makes the construction time go faster when your contractor is not waiting for you to make design decisions.

Procurement & Installation
This is the exciting phase when you actually see things starting to happen at your site. We provide project site construction management and order all your custom items. Once those items arrive, we install them and add all our final staging touches to the finished space for you to enjoy!
